Luke 10:27
‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and will all your strength
and with all your mind’;
and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
WHO WE ARE:
Optimists of grace
The primary objective of our district is to populate Northwestern Ohio with dynamic, Wesleyan-Holiness churches. We are “optimists of grace,” realizing it is by God’s initiative that we come to know Him, are offered salvation through Jesus Christ, and are being made like Jesus by the work of the Holy Spirit. As followers of Christ, we seek to “love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves.”
Presently, we have sixty congregations in our twenty-two counties, and are actively seeking to start new churches. The relatively small geographical footprint of our district, as well as the belief that we are better together, makes us a connected district. There are many opportunities for fellowship, worship, evangelism, and training.
Dear Northwestern Ohio District Family:
We have been blessed by the leadership of Dr. Geoffrey and Mona Kunselman as they have served Northwestern Ohio Nazarenes. We are praying for them as they begin their new assignment as Global Director of Stewardship for our denomination.
Your District Advisory Council (DAC – made up of the District Advisory Board, plus the NMI President, NYI President, NDI President, District Treasurer and District Secretary) have been working with our General Superintendent Dr. Gustavo Crocker and our USA/Canada Regional Director Stan Reeder, to prepare our District for the election of our next District Superintendent.
We know that God wants to direct us to the person He will anoint to carry on the good work that has already been done and to lead us to the preferred future into which God is calling us. Please join us in praying that God would guide our every step in this process as we seek to discern His leading.
Thank you to all who have filled out the District and District Superintendent Profile Surveys! From this information, the District Advisory Council has developed our Northwestern Ohio District and DS Profiles. Please use this link to read through the profiles prayerfully as you think about the person we will need to help us build upon our strengths, face our challenges and effectively fulfill the mission to make Christlike disciples in the nations, starting here on the Northwestern Ohio District.
If the Lord brings a potential District Superintendent candidate to mind, please use this link to submit that person’s name as a nominee.
The DEADLINE to submit a nomination is midnight (CT) on Sunday, March 12, 2023.
We are sending this request for nominations to our District family. We will also ask for nominations from Church leaders across the USA/Canada Region. The DAC will begin reviewing the biographies of nominees, will narrow down the list of nominees to about 10-12 candidates in April, and will interview the top candidates in May in an attempt to prepare the Assembly for an election at District Assembly on June 22-23.
PASTORS, please feel free to share this email with your entire church family and encourage people to make prayerful nominations.
Your fan,
Stan

Evangelism multiplication Training
CAUTION… EMT training is dangerous:
It can bring life to you, your church, and your world!
- Inspires leaders and laity alike to engage with Christ through prayer and evangelism to make disciples and plant churches
- Teaches leaders and lay people why we should make multiplication a priority
- Teachers how to engage pre-Christians from first encounter to Christian faith
- Teaches how every believer can be involved in Church Planting
- Provides effective tools and best practices for making Christlike disciples
In short, Evangelism Multiplication Training (EMT) will help you learn how to bring pre-Christians to Christ and health to your church, equipping each trainee with a Mission Action Plan (MAP) for micro and macro multiplication.

Our goal is to develop partnerships among pastors and leaders of local youth groups, both large and small, as we seek God’s standard for youth ministry.
supporting churches, empowering disciples
We aim to provide a variety of resources, training events, and activities throughout the year to enhance the growth and ministry of our district churches.

Our vision is seeing:
“Connected neighborhoods sharing resources and the good news of Jesus.”
We believe we can accomplish this mission by:
“Preparing and equipping missionaries who will develop church-type missions throughout the city of Toledo.”

Nazarene Missions
international
We are committed to telling the missions story by providing resources and support for informing and educating local churches, not only in what other Nazarenes are doing in missions, but how they can get involved, too.
Our goal is to mobilize the Church in missions efforts across the globe by emphasizing five different areas of impact.
