While the residents are away on a planned family retreat\, our team will serve by helping refresh and care for their living space. The primary focus of this trip will be interior painting inside their home\, though final project assignments may adjust based on the ministry’s needs at the time. Volunteers with painting experience are especially helpful\, but anyone with a willing heart and a steady hand can contribute meaningfully. \nTeam members will stay together in a nearby Airbnb\, sharing meals\, fellowship\, and daily times of prayer as we support a ministry doing deeply redemptive work. DESCRIPTION:Ministry Discovery and Assessment Center (MDAC)\nOctober 9-11\, 2026\n  \nCross Oak Camp & Retreat Center\n  \n\nThe Ministry Discovery and Assessment Conference is a weekend for district-licensed ministers to help you discover your greatest gifts\, develop you as a leader\, provide peer learning and encouragement\, all the while helping you gain a better understanding of your leadership style and providing self-aware of areas needed for growth and greater effectiveness. MDAC is a required step in the journey toward ordination. \nBoth the candidate and spouse (if married) must participate in the entire weekend event. \nThere is a significant amount of preparation for the event. \nAn application for both the candidate and the spouse must be filled out ahead of the event\, plus three separate assessments for both the candidate and the spouse. (Spouses of those being assessed are required to attend the assessment and participate in all activities\, but are not being assessed themselves.) \nThe cost of the assessment is $250. DESCRIPTION:Gold Weekend\nFebruary 27-28\n  \nDistrict Resource Center / Cross Oak Camp\n  \n\nGold Weekend is a comprehensive event designed to enrich and equip the next generation of pastors in our tribe…building a solid foundation in Nazarene doctrine\, theology\, and church polity\, as well as building practical ministry and leadership skills. Developing Pastors will learn alongside some of the most effective pastors in our district as they are immersed in equipping and teaching sessions\, worship\, mentoring\, and peer sharing. \nThe weekend will be held over 2 days and hosted at The District Center/Cross Oak Camp\, in St Mary’s on Friday\, February 26\, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm (Lunch and Dinner provided) and Saturday\, February 27\, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm (Breakfast and lunch provided). \nInterviews for first-time district licenses or renewing a district license will be part of Gold Weekend and will be scheduled on Saturday morning. Ordination interviews will take place Friday evening starting at 7:00 pm. \nYour next steps: \n1.
