DESCRIPTION:A required event for all local and district licensed ministers\nFriday\, March 1-Saturday\, March 2\nThe District Center/Cross Oak Camp\, in St Marys \nGold Weekend is a comprehensive event designed to enrich and equip the next generation of pastors in our tribe…building a solid foundation in Nazarene doctrine\, theology\, and church polity\, as well as building practical ministry and leadership skills. They will be learning alongside some of the most effective pastors in our district as they are immersed in equipping and teaching sessions\, worship\, mentoring\, and peer sharing. \nThe weekend will be held over 2 days and hosted at The District Center/Cross Oak Camp\, in St Marys on Friday\, March 1\, from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm (Lunch & Dinner provided) and Saturday\, March 2\, from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm (Breakfast and lunch provided) \nInterviews for first-time district licenses or renewing a district license will be part of Gold Weekend and will be scheduled on Saturday morning. Ordination interviews will take place Friday evening starting at 7:00 pm. \nYour next steps:\n1. Register for Gold Weekend by February 1: Gold Weekend Registration.\nThe cost of Gold Weekend is:\n-$90 per person with a room\n-$70 per person if you share a room (you can choose your roommate)\n-$50 for those who commute\n2. Please submit any classes you have taken by February 1 to the Board of Ministry\nSecretary\, Chuck Meinecke at cwmeinecke@outlook.com\n3. DESCRIPTION:EXCITING NEWS: In conjunction with the Southwest Ohio District\, The Northwest Ohio Nazarenes have the opportunity to come alongside Rescue Hill. Rescue Hill is a Nazarene Compassionate Ministry Center in the heart of Arlington\, Texas with a focus in Anti-Human Trafficking. It is the only CMC of its kind on the USA/Canada region and is making a huge impact across the US in the anti-trafficking fight. \nThis mission trip will give us the opportunity to contribute toward transitioning the property into an operational Anti-Human Trafficking facility with emergency beds and housing\, an Immigration Center\, and an Advocacy Center as well as maintaining a space for the three church congregations who meet there weekly. The three main areas of focus right now are these: 1. Remove old tile floors in both entries and hallway and replace with laminate flooring. 2. Stain fencing on the property and with other building remodeling and maintenance work.  \nWomen with healthcare degrees will have the opportunity to work directly with women in crisis. Sorry\, guys will not have direct contact with women in recovery. \nCost is $1050.00 (includes project costs\, airfare\, car rental and all other anticipated expenses while onsite) \nPlease respond asap and no later than January 10th if interested.\nPlease contact Louis Reindel\, N.W.O. DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE: https://nwonyievents.org/ \nThe District BLAST Program (Building Leaders and Sharing Talents) is guided by the rules and policies set forth by the Field BLAST event held at Mount Vernon Nazarene University (Early June each year) .  The Field NYI Council\, made up of the Field NYI President and the District Presidents from the 8 districts on the region\, sponsors the event.  Students that participate in the District BLAST have the opportunity to share their God given talents in a competitive setting.  The top scoring participants are selected to represent the Northwestern Ohio district at the regional BLAST.  Also\, students experience leadership training that is designed to strengthen their relationship with Christ\, challenging each one to be His leaders in their church and community.\n\nPurposes\n1.      To build leadership trends among high school students.\n2.      To promote the use of talents and gifts in local churches and communities.\n3.      To give valuable feedback to students as they develop their gifts.\n4.      To fellowship with Nazarenes across the district.\n5.      To select the representatives from our district that will represent us at the Regional BLAST event held at MVNU.\n\nLeadership\nStephanie Baldwin – Stephanie.baldwin@realtyfive.com

DESCRIPTION:The District Quizzing Program is Bible study at its finest with the main goal being the study of God’s Word. Bible quizzing in this form is also Christian competition. The quizzer competes for personal improvement and to advance one’s knowledge of God’s Kingdom. Bible quizzing is also fellowship as events set the stage for Christian interaction and social activities.
