Who We Are

The School of Ministry serves local churches by helping better prepare those who want to effectively and confidently answer their call to local church and community ministry. We help you develop your understanding of God’s Word, grow in your theological understanding, and gain practical ministry skills.

Whether you feel called to pursue pastoral ministry and are working toward ordination, or you feel called to serve in the local church in some way and are seeking to be better equipped for what God has called you to do, the School of Ministry is for you.

Classes

Classes are 8 weeks long and meet once a week on Zoom. Each class requires a commitment of 10-15 hours/week including class time, reading, projects/assignments, and practical ministry experience.

The cost is $175 per class (note: NWO district is providing a $50 per class scholarship for those who are serving in their local church, so the cost will drop to $125 for those students).

A Student Dashboard is provided to each student through a district system to track progress, submit forms, provide official student records, and more. Instructors are experienced and effective missional pastors and leaders from the Northwestern Ohio District and partner districts in the MVNU region.

All 21 classes will be offered over a 3-year period and the two required classes of the six needed for a first-time District License will be offered annually.

Can’t Attend Classes in the Evening or Certain Nights?

Nazarene Bible College also offers the new non-degree course of study, and they use an asynchronous format (Students may participate in a class at times that are convenient for them. Anywhere—Anytime). To learn more: NCOS at NBC.
