This 90-minute workshop is part 2 of a 4-part workshop series designed to address the very real challenges YOU told us you are facing. This is FREE for NWO Pastors and staff. Non-NWO can attend for $25.
While there is often some level of stress in the family of God you lead, the stress shepherds feel in their own family can be extremely burdensome. Sometimes the stress grows when the people you love the most do not share your values, and fear, shame and pain are carried privately. Other times the pressures of unresolved stress in your own home stem from schedules, sickness, or conflict that seem to not dissipate. When do personal expectations or those assumed from others in a shepherd’s home become unrealistic and unhealthy? This workshop will aim to reframe your mindset about family stress and equip you with practical tools to manage unrealistic expectations!
Attendees will:
- Grow awareness of family systems theory in home and church
- Recognize how much of another’s story you are or are not responsible for
- Evaluate if stress is manageable for a season or unhealthy
- Learn to navigate assumed or explicit expectations from others
